ATLANTA - April 19, 2010 - NPI, a premier spend management consultancy focused on delivering technology and transportation savings, today announced the addition of Heather Barclay to its technology practice. Barclay's extensive technology industry experience with Fortune 500 companies strategically augments NPI's IT spend management practice. Barclay will be responsible for promoting spend optimization strategies with prospects and further expanding NPI's rapidly growing IT portfolio.
Barclay's experience will provide NPI's technology spend management clients with deep vendor knowledge in the areas of data center outsourcing and enterprise software solutions. Prior to NPI, Barclay was noted for exceeding sales goals at Savvis, Inc. where she secured several multi-year, multi-million dollar infrastructure outsourcing contracts in the Southeast and was recognized as a top five company-wide sales performer. Prior to working at Savvis, she was a senior strategy consultant at Magenic Technologies in Atlanta, where she sold consulting services to help companies solve complex business and technology problems leveraging the Microsoft solution stack.
"Heather's track record of strong performance and leadership has made her not only a phenomenal sales executive, but a valuable member of Atlanta's technology community," said Jon Winsett, CEO of NPI. "We believe our clients will greatly benefit from her knowledge of the IT vendor landscape, which is key in driving down technology overspending."
Aside from her extensive work in enterprise technology, Barclay is highly involved with TechBridge, a non-profit organization that specializes in helping other nonprofits use technology to serve their respective communities. Barclay has served as co-chair of the Digital Ball Sponsorship Committee as well as on the Executive Committee for two years. The Digital Ball is the signature fundraising event for TechBridge.
Barclay comments: "Across the past decade, I've seen many companies struggle with their IT spending due to lack of visibility into vendor pricing strategies. I look forward to bringing my knowledge of IT vendors' selling behaviors to NPI's clients and helping them cut costs in their technology portfolios."
